Troubleshooting an AV system is easily as vexing as anything else in technology. I did get my system working again, though.

My receiver isn’t new enough to do HDMI switching, but it does have optical-in. So, right now, my TV does the source switching and sends audio to the receiver over the optical link.

I noted the XFinity box has mutiple inputs. Has anyone used the cable box for AV switching and if so, how did you like the results?
