Was thinking about distributed discussion groups, given the state of Reddit. Then I remembered USENET. And Enshittification (source, source). Now I’m sad.

Novice that I am, made some DNS changes. Finally sunk in that I only need DNS from registrar, not also from my web host. Therefore I had my host remove DNS service. Added a txt record for an experiment. If I broke something, I assume I may not know for a day or two.

It feels like I’m not able or allowed to be my best self at all times, like I have to claw back progress I had previously won.

For you introspective writers: Do you ever come across something you’ve written that is deeply personal, and true—then forgotten? And wonder how you could have lost track of such a moment of clarity?

Apple Watch features I really thought we’d have before watchOS 10

I’m a series 4-wearer and an Apple fan boy, but these are real usability issues. Some are software problems that haven’t been resolved, but others are likely hardware choices that directly affect battery life.

Have been listening to All Yours by Submotion Orchestra a bunch this week. Rediscovered it lurking in my collection and I’m not sure where I heard it originally. Something like Thievery Corporation, Supreme Beings of Leisure, or Brand New Heavies.
