@patrickrhone That was the right prompt at the right time time. I went to Apple to check my procedure. The attempt earlier today was not the correct process for the 2018 with Touch Bar and T2. Therefore the procedure has now been done with the correct keys and the correct timings. That helped. Thank you! I still have the OS warning to replace the battery but at the same time I’m showing a charging indicator and indicated charge trending up. I know I will still have to give it up but rumors of its demise may have been premature
