@jeannie I agree. I am being mindful of what I consume, including filtering out tweets that include any charged terms and mindfully auditing my follows. But I'm also attempting to be thoughtful about what I put back. My blog entries here are replicated to Twitter. While I know I won't make everyone happy, I do not wish to amplify outrage.
@patrickrhone @odd @frostedechoes Thank you for your kindness.
@hollyhoneychurch You said the etherial word. Now I will have to check them out.
@vishae Gosh, I hope that is delicious.
@patrickrhone The tweet, Gruber's post and your all hit home. I used to blog with a lot of snark and synicism and gave voice to many of my own darker thoughts. I struggle today with giving voice in the same way. On the one hand, knowing others felt the same way saved me and put me in touch with a larger community. On the other hand, I want no part of rage as sport or rage as entertainment. I would prefer to help folks find a center or a foundation, instead. I know a lot of people feel things pretty deeply and tweets just don't seem to get there. I appreciate your thoughts, Patrick. Keep writing.
@hutaffe Transitioning to new devices is never simple, unless you're setting it up as brand new. I feel your pain. Hope it continues to be trouble free and finally lets you experience that joy of the new!
@fahrni @crossingthethreshold @pimoore Thank you! You're very kind
@hutaffe It's been a thing for a while. You can only restore to the same version or later. I run into this frequently that new devices are a point release or two behind what is current. It's fun to spend that extra half-hour while my clients are awaiting their shiny new Apple devices.
@odd I think it's worse than that. It appears that as late as 2017 minimum password length is not enforced by Microsoft, but buy Group Policy. They recommend 8 characters, but you can :: hangs head :: set the minimum for fewer.
@odd Feels true? Might have been minimum circa NT4/Windows 2K?
